New York: Macmillan, 1915. First edition, this copy inscribed to "kinsman" Luther M. Strayer, signed, & dated in ink by the author at the ffep. Small octavo (7.75 x 5.5"), xii, [2], 309 & [7, advertisements] pages. Publisher's gilt-lettered brown cloth.
Binding rubbed & spotted from biopredation (mostly affecting the lower cover), lightly internally toned otherwise good & still quite useful.
The author was pastor of the 3d Presbyterian Church in Rochester, New York, director of the Rochester Orphans' Home, and founder of the People's Sunday Evening Meetings which were conducted in theatres.
