Athens, Georgia: University of Georgia Press, (1972). First edition, this copy inscribed & signed by the author at the ffep. 12mo, 50 pp. Publisher's gray paper over boards backed in blue cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, in plain acetate dust jacket.
A Fine copy in dust jacket with a one & a half inch tear in the upper panel.
David Chapman Berry's first book, this copy inscribed & signed on the ffep: "For Jack/ I learn by going where/ I have to go ~ / Theodore Roethe/ Best/ David." Berry was a medic in Vietnam His poignant poetry uses the voices of dead combatants to describe their experiences.
