Original edition, hardcover, cloth, xviii, 90 pages, 15 unnumbered leaves of engraved plates, illustrations, and portraits; very good condition, bound in blue cloth, with title in gilt above a Lion Rampant (the Scottish emblem) on an armorial background, title in gilt on spine, a.e.g., mild shelf wear to edges (not affecting text), bookplate of former owner on front paste down.
With many Illustrations after Raeburn, Wilkie, Geddes. Phillip, Chalmers, Orchardson, Pettie, Macbeth, and Other Artists.
