The second impression.Paul Brunton's insight account of his travels across India, during which he lived amongst yogis, mystics, and gurus.Illustrated with a frontispiece, and fourteen plates.Collated, lacking the plate to face page 232.Paul Brunton is the pen-name used by Raphael Hurst, a noted author of spiritual works. He was one of the early popularised of Neo-Hindu spiritualism in Western Esotericism. This is his best known work.Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the University of Bristol Libraries.With a foreword by Sir Francis Younghusband. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Evidence of a label being formerly adhered to the tail of the front board, with fading and a small amount of paper remnants. Spine is a little discoloured. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Small tear to the tail of the rear joint. A few minor marks to the boards, and light rubbing to the spine and extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm, rear hinge is a little strained. Stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. Stamp and torn label to the rear paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few scattered spots. Bound without one plate. Good
