New York: Book League of America, 1940. Hardcover. xiv, 296p., yellow cloth boards; frontis. Originally published by Doubleday Doran, this is the Book League of America book club edition. Light soiling to front cover, else very good. Unpriced dust jacket is lightly soiled with edgewear, spine somewhat sunned, else very good. Front cover reads: "A unique record of personal adventure in a Polynesian paradise where flourished an age-old civilization." Author nicknamed Shadow Catcher for taking pictures with his box camera.
