The first edition of Vita Sackville-West's final novel, a lovely and romantic story following a cruise ship, a smart copy in the original dust wrapper. The first edition of this work.In the original unclipped dustwrapper.'No Signposts in the Sea' follows Edmund Carr as he escapes his job at a Fleet Street paper to go on a cruise, chasing after the beautiful widow he admires.Written by the noted Bloomsbury author Vita Sackville-West, well known today for her friendship and relationship with fellow author, Virginia Woolf. Sackville-West provided the inspiration for Woolf's beloved novel 'Orlando'. Sackville-West was also a noted garden designer at her house Sissinghurst, the garden of which is still celebrated today. This was her final novel. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Evidence of a label being formerly adhered to the front paste down, with faint discolouration only. Repair to the reverse of the dust wrapper to the head. Light marks to the dust wrapper, and very minor edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
