The first edition of this early twentieth century study of bird migration complete in two illustrated volumes. First edition of Studies in Bird Migration by William Eagle Clarke in the original publisher's cloth bindings. Complete in two volumes. Illustrated with twenty five maps, weather charts and other illustrations. Volume I includes nine plates, and Volume II includes sixteen. Collated, complete. Prior owner's ink inscriptions from 1916 to the half titles. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of Volume I. In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally there is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities, and wear to the spines particularly the tail of volume 1. There is some light marking to the front boards. The hinges are slightly strained. Prior owner's ink inscriptions from 1916 to the half titles. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot and some slight age toning. Good
