A single Everyman's Library volume presenting the two novels by Alphonse Daudet, both of which feature his Tartarin of Tarascon character. Tartarin is described on the jacket flap as ". . .a more robust Don Quixote transported from the Spain of 1600 to the France of 1850. . .". Rendered into English by unspecified translator(s), and with an introduction by Jean-Pierre Richard. Everyman's Library #423, an entry in EL's "Fiction" series. --- In Everyman's Library larger format binding style 4. Full brown cloth-covered boards with spine titling and "EL" in script at tail of spine in gilt; orange topstain. Yellow dust jacket with "Everyman's Library" surrounded by scrollwork to front panel. --- An excellent copy: tightly-bound, unmarked and lacking damages worthy of mention. Jacket also nice, though with light soiling to back panel and with some tanning to verso; wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; xii, 230 pages .
