London: Collins, 1951. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 12" by 9". None. A neat first edition of this illustrated history of the River Thames circa 1750. First edition. Illustrated throughout with 258 figures, some of which are full page. A history of the River Thames circa 1750 with details from Woolwich, past London Bridge, to Westminster Bridge and Hampton Court. Written by Hugh Phillips, a member of the Council of the London Topographical Society. In the original orange cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and minor fading to the extremities. The odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown has been covered with a clean white label. Very Good
