Paris: Hachette & Cie, 1860. The translator Jules Janin's personal copy, with his red leather bookplate front paste down. Finely bound by Duru, stamp signed in gilt "Duru 1860", one of the three great bookbinder of the Golden Age of bookbinding in France. xxiv, 376 pages. Finely bound in crushed red morocco, the back in ornate floral gilt, marbled end papers with wide intricate gilt turn-ins, all edges gilt. Near Fine, tiny rubs to morocco at spine ends. A. First Edition. Crushed Morocco. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
