About This Item

Bowie MD: Heritage Books, Inc, 1994. Paperback. xx, 130p., illustrated with a few period portrait photographs, softbound first edition in 8.5x5.5 inch decorated wraps. Nice clean copy, signed by the author on his titlepage. Mixed loyalties, often inviting hostility, violence and murder, in a particular Virginia county. Unionist Virginians tended to be strongly union-friendly, not abolition-friendly.
