She was a founding member of the Women"s Social and Political Union (WSPU) and an integral member of the Women Writers' Suffrage League and Women"s Tax Resistance League.In this anthology, Harraden retells twelve ancient stories, including the bravery of Joan of Arc, the triumph of Caesar, and the duties of the Vestal Virgins.Illustrated with a frontispiece and numerous full page and vignette illustrations by H.
