Both the book and inner clamshell case are in PERFECT CONDITION. NO rubbing or fading. Sharp corners. Square and tight. NO owner's name or bookplate. Crisp, clean and unmarked - obviously never read. The book is bound in the original eggshell white flecked paper-covered boards with a blue cloth spine that is stamped in red and tan. The inner clamshell case is bound in brown silk with a printed paper title label on the spine. Deluxe First Edition. Limited to 1000 numbered copies, this being #24. Profusely illustrated with drawings and 227 photos, 27 in color. This is the deluxe issue in a special binding. IT INCLUDES 92 PAGES NOT FOUND IN THE TRADE EDITION. The extra pages are for 102 tipped-in paper samples and commentary about them. This book addresses all aspects of washi - how it evolved, how it is made, the people who make it, its future, etc. Glossary. Bibliography. Index.
