About This Item

London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1916. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 6". Edmund Blampied. A very smart fine edition of this beautifully illustrated novel from Ethel M. Dell. Fine edition. Originally published, 1912. Illustrated with colour frontispiece and eleven colour plates with tissue guards. Collated complete. Set in India, this action-filled romance opens to Nick Ratcliffe rescuing the general's daughter Muriel from dire peril. She agrees to a betrothal, but breaks it off before moving back to England. When she returns to India, will she learn her true feelings? Written by Ethel May Dell Savage, a British writer of romance novels and short stories. Illustrated by Edmund Blampied, one of the most eminent artists of the Channel Islands. In the original beige cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Two small closed tears to the front board. Original card slip case or box is sound with wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Corner joints are separating to the bottom part. The odd mark to the case and light sunning. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot, mostly to the first and last few pages. Near Fine
