About This Item
New York: Thomas Nelsonand Sons, 1928. Boards. Very Good. Willy Pogany. THE 1928 SIGNED/LIMITED, #89 OF 500 COPIES SIGNED BY WILLY POGANY at the limitation. Solid and VG in its 1/4 navy-blue cloth over light-blue boards, with a clean, bright title-label to the front panel. Light scuffing to the panels, light wear along the tips and the spine ends --and a partially-torn spine label. Internally, beautifully-designed endpapers and magnificent Pogany color illustrations (as well as silhouettes) and marginalia at virtually every page. Very light soiling and several minor chips (not affecting the plates) at a few of the lower-edges, tender (but still perfectly sturdy) inner hinges, half-title/frontispiece page loose. Octavo, beautiful late '20s illustrations, in a number of cases with a strong Deco feel.
