London : A H Baily and Co, 1840. Cloth. Very Good. 8" by 5". None. The second edition of this work by Alexander Walker. Alexander Walker was a Scottish physiologist and aesthetician best known for his works linking these two fields, and in particular his study of women, beauty and physiognomy. Rebound in a cloth binding with the original cloth boards preserved. Externally, smart with rubbing to the original boards. Internally, pages mildly age toned with occasional spots. Bookplate of birmingham medical institute to front blank and ink stamp of the same to the title page. Ink signature to the title page. Very Good
