One of only 2,150 copies printed. Issued both in this decorative cloth and the plain cloth simultaneously. A satire of undergraduate life at Oxford, it includes the famous line "Death cancels all engagements" and presents a corrosive view of Edwardian Oxford. Written by Sir Henry Maximilian Beerbohm, an English essayist, parodist and caricaturist He first became known in the 1890s as a dandy and a humorist. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good
