This was to be one of her last travel adventures. She first came to fame by taking a voyage around the world in 1876/77, also aboard the Sunbeam. After a lifetime of ill health, Lady Brassey succumbed to malaria while on another voyage to Mauritius & was buried, appropriately, in the sea she loved. Lady Brassey is best known for her book A Voyage in the Sunbeam describing her voyage around the world. Illustrated with nine maps, two of which folding, some in colour, and numerous engravings in text.
