George Weidenfeld & Nicolson Limited, 1949. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Good. First English Edition. Octavo. 327 pp. Good or better in like jacket. Blue cloth. Translated into English by Edward Fitzgerald from the 1948 German edition. This is not a former library book, but rather comes from the collection of academic and historian, A. Mouratides. Prof Mouratides used his own classification system, so there are two paper classification tags on the spine jacket. The FFEP also bears his ownership stamp. The leaves are clean internally with no annotations or underlining. There is noticeable foxing to the block. The board corners are rubbed and there is minor pushing-in to head and foot. The blue cloth is firmly secured to book, but is wavy in some areas where the glue has lost adhesion. Unclipped jacket showing the original price of 15s. There is darkening to the spine and chipping to jacket edges, especially at head and foot. Now wrapped in a protective Brodart wrap. Binding is square and tight. Securely shi…Read more
