Assumed that this is the student version of ""Our Big Book,"" which is most commonly found as the Teacher's edition with easel. 46 pages numbered but starts with page 3 as issued. Color illustrated. Blue wraps. No date or publisher listed. Assumed Scott Foresman. This was published before Sally became Sally. She is called ""Baby"" in this copy. Eleven stories. Stapled wraps cover is chipped and in delicate condition and is free of any markings. Pages have scattered markings throughout mainly in pencil; which could probably be erased. London: Dean and Son. Hard Cover. BOOK GOOD. 4to - over 9¾"" - 12"" tall. Early seven page movable toy book. Extremely rare. Dean and Son is listed on front cover but Frederick A. Stokes, New York is listed as publisher on title page. Moveable parts are no longer working but most appear to be present. Color illustrated. Illustrated cover is still bright. Interior shows some wear but there are no previous owner markings. This circus themed movable book contains: funny man on his head, dancing dog with clean, clowns donkey ride, clown and his performing pig (missing). circa 1880s. Dean and Son was the first publisher to produce movable books on a large scale. A great find for any collector.

Mitcham who was a lieutenant and later a captain in the U.S. Army. His bookplate resides on the front pastedown. A scarce and rarely seen book.
