Description:
Guernsey: The Toucan Press, 1967. Limited Edition . Soft cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Published in an edition of 100 copies, only, this booklet contains a transcript of the judgment given, against Caitlin Thomas, by Mr. Justice Plowman. The case was brought by the widow of Dylan Thomas and centered around the ownership of the manuscript of Thomas' most famous work - Under Milk Wood. The manuscript was lost by the author when out drinking prior to his trip to New York and he gifted it to Douglas Cleverdon if he could find in which pub he had left it. A fascinating story. In original card covers which are a little embrowned and marked. The contents are retained by one rusty staple, only, following the loss of the other rusted staple. Printed in an edition of 100 copies.
