The story of Robinson Crusoe adapted for those "which are learning the English." and "illustrated by German Notes". A good copy in original blue "sugar boards" with a few ink marked pages and minor staining to one page, without loss. (see photographs). The text includes references to llamas, slavery, canabalism and New Zealand. The text contains numbered references to the margins where English words are translated to their German equivalents. Dublin: Browne and Nolan, Limited, 1914. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. 8vo format - 7.5" tall. A history of the Royal Irish Regiment of Artillery between 1755 and 1801. This is a presentation copy from the author to R. J. Crowe who claims to have helped him in his researches. Internally very good in original cloth which is a little marked and faded to fore-edge of top board. Minor water staining to margins of frontispiece and portrait of author and with spot foxing to tops of final five pages of index. Inscribed on ffep and with marginalia to two pages from J. J. Crowe. Uncommon. A detailed history of the Royal Irish Regiment of Artillery between 1755 and 1801.

This is the special limited edition published, in 1993, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the perennial children's classic. Complete with all facsimiles to include: a copy of the letter to "Master Noel Moore" in which the story made its first appearance; the first privately published edition with monochrome pictures; the original deluxe edition published by Frederick Warne in 1902. Accompanying the facsimiles is an illustrated booklet outlining the history of the publication together with a gilt printed tissue that serves to protect the limitation sheet tipped on to the inside of the clam shell box. Numbered 538 of an edition of 750 copies and in very good to fine condition throughout with original white card slipcase. This is the special limited edition published, in 1993, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the perennial children's classic.

London, 1900. No Binding. Very Good/No Jacket. David Lloyd George M.P. TLS dated May 18th 1900 from his chambers at Lloyd George Roberts & Co. A letter to Alfred Parry, the son of a solicitor who appears to be under investigation by the Law Society and he appears to be asking for Lloyd George's assistance in gaining some "indulgence", for his father, from Sir Albert Rollit - a member of the Council of the Incorporated Law Society. In 1900 the Law Society was in a significant crisis regarding defalcation scandals and its apparent laxity in dealing with solicitors, a number of whom had been found to have misappropriated their client's funds. The subsequent public disquiet resulted in the Incorporated Law Society taking a severe attitude towards solicitors under investigation and this letter advises the recipient to wait until "things settle down". 1936. No Binding. Very Good/No Jacket. Eulalie . An original watercolor illustration by the prolific illustrator of children's books who signed her work as "Eulalie". This image shows a clothed rabbit talking to a girl and a clothed mouse. The image measures "8 X 6" and was created, presumably, to illustrate a tale of the same name. The illustrator provided images for many titles and I have been unable to locate the publication of this image. The rear of the image has a title label written by the artist. The picture is in very good condition but has a 1cm dent to the middle of the left margin which does not affect the image.
