Description:
Published by London: Chapman and Hall, not dated, likely to be circa 1880. Half leather with marbled boards. Good condition with some staining and minor shelf wear. Minor hinge tear on the Edwin Drood volume.
Small book plate in each from the library of a Robert Edward Fisher of Cardiff. Each book signed by Gerald Dickens, a great-grandson of Charles Dickens. Gerald Roderick Charles Dickens is an English actor and performer best known for his one-man shows based on the novels of his great-great-grandfather Charles Dickens. He was the President of the Dickens Fellowship from 2005 to 2007.
In 2013, Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia hosted a Holiday Tea with Charles Dickens. The event featured a reading of A Christmas Carol by Gerald Dickens, Charles Dickens' great-great grandson.
Included is a ticket ("Citizen Passport") to the afternoon tea on December 17, 2013, and a menu card signed by Gerald Dickens.
