W. R. M'Phun & Son, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Remarks. 928 pages. Fully bound in blind stamped black leather with gilt lettering to spine. Black and white illustrated plates with tissue guards. Gilt edged text block. Engraved extra title page, and frontis of Jesus. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Decorative inscription to front free end paper. Dual colour decorative extra title page. Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. Some occasional cracking to gutters throughout. One tissue guard detached; frontis tissue guard torn and creased. Final text page slightly loose. Slight stains and marks to plates; mild marks to margins of several pages. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Leather rubbed and peeling, heaviest at the spine. Gilt spine lettering is darkened. Several pronounced scratches.
