Two volumes. First edition. Each volume is illustrated with an in-text etching to the rear of the text, volume one contains a frontispiece. Collated complete. Volume two has a portrait of Mrs Shelley pasted to the endpaper as if it were a frontispiece. These two volumes were all that were published of the author's project to detail the full life of Percy Bysshe Shelley in a four volume set. Volume three was never finished and volume four was never written as the author died before completion. They are now considered a scarce set.
