Juneteenth by Ralph Ellison

Ralph Ellison, known best for The Invisible Man, wrote most of Juneteenth but reported the manuscript lost in a fire in 1964. The version of Juneteenth: A Novel that we know today was compiled byEllison's friend John F. Callahan. He used the 2,000+ pages that Ellison left behind to arrange, edit and publish Juneteenth posthumously.
