New York: Beadle & Adams, 1878. Paperback. Good +. 15, [1] p.: 1 hand-colored woodcut by Nathaniel Orr; 29 cm. Wrapper included in pagination. Some pages not opened. Woodcut title at head of first page. Contains lyrics to 58 songs, without music. These include many popular songs of the time, including patriotic songs such as The Dashing U.S. Marines' March, as well as some older songs. Both sides of the back wrapper list contents of nos. 1-18 of Beadle's Half-Dime Singer's Library. The publication appeared approximately weekly from 18 May 1878 and 29 March 1879, ending with No. 43. In later reprints the illustration was left uncolored. Scarce. In Good+ Condition: first leaf detached but present; dampstaining; corner at head of gutter trimmed without loss of text; chipping to lower and fore-edges; 2-cm. tear from fore-edge of first leaf; clean and intact.
