There are photographs, illustrations, and advertisements throughout. Published by Doubleday, Page & Company.

Here are some examples of the contents: Perennials that Reappear Each Spring; When a Man Grows His Own Melons; Lengthening the Season of Fruit; Winter in a Japanesque Garden; Travel Tales of a Plant Collector; Little White Flies that Infest the Garden and Greenhouse; Flowering Shrubs for Fall Planting; Planting and Transplanting in the Fall; Decorative Ironwork; Among Our Garden Neighbors; Artistic Flower Arrangement; Success with the Indoor Window Garden; Dallying with Daffodils; Cherries for the Home; A Home Method of Storing Celery; A Bit of the Tropics in New England; Gardening Abroad through American Eyes; How Plants Endure Heat and Cold...and much more.

Condition:
The 6 individual monthly issues have been custom bound into hardcover. The February 1923 issue does not have its front cover...the other 5 issues have their front cover. None of the issues have a back cover (each issues ends with its last numbered page). The 1st issue within the volume, September 1922, has a few areas on the front cover where the top paper layer has peeled (see photos). "Sioux City Public Library" stamped in ink on the front covers. Occasional tears were found that have been repaired with clear tape. The September and October front covers have some soiling/foxing/smudges. The pages are mostly clean with the occasional smudge here and there. The volume is tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. Overall the volume is in Good condition.
