Oxford University Press, Oxford, 1927, original edition; large 4to, pp xv, 243, v; 90 figures in the text and with 47 plates; blue cloth gilt, a little rubbed but a good to very good copy, very clean inside. Randall-Maciver was a British archaeologist who later became a citizen of the US. His excavations at Great Zimbabwe were important in showing that the site was built by the Shona peoples. He worked also in north Africa and moved to Italy in 1921 to focus on Etruscan architecture.
