Light blue cloth, with gilt lettering over red patches on spine and front cover. Red top stain. Patterened Kent end papers. 380 pages, with lists of Modern Library titles at end. Prior owner's name/address sticker (small) on blank preliminary page, across from title page. No marks to text. In dust-jacket (illustrated by E. McKnight Kauffer). Dust-jacket has a small price sticker on front flap stating "As of April 15, 1947, the price of the Modern Library in U.S.A. is $1.25 a copy[.] Other markings void. The Modern Library, Inc." Dust-jacket has slight edge wear and spine ends are crimped.
Modern Library 61.2. Lists 322 ML titles on back of dust-jacket. This edition published in the late 1940s with the striking E. McKnight Kauffer jacket.
