The volumes have not been pillaged for plates, but all the plates show some foxing, ranging from marginal and slight to invasive and severe. Still a usable working copy for an individual scholar; otherwise a binding copy only.

Cover shows minor wear and rubbing, edgewear. Top edges gilt, marbled endpapers, armorial bookplate of former owner on the front pastedown. Name of former owner and minor writing on the first blank prelim. Pages are lightly tanned and mostly clean.
