Original decorated cloth, uncut. Joints and headbands lightly rubbed, 1inch split to cloth of lower outer joint, uncut fore-edge of text lightly browned; overall very good. Uncommon.

Boards dusty, backstrip browned and with short split, marginal tear to one leaf without loss. Old gift inscription on front free endpaper.

Leaf of MS dedication, 2-page MS preface stating that the manscript had been found in an ancient walnut cabinet at Caversham Hill, then follows 13-pages of MS verse. 8vo (9 1/4 x 6 7/8 inches). stitched but unbound. Very good.
