The jacket has some uniform fading to the spine but the title in red remains completely legible. A bump to the head of the spine too with some associated creasing to the overlying jacket. A very good minus, clean, tight hardback copy.

Dust wrapper not price clipped with light fading to the spine of the wrapper. There is some creasing to the head of the wrapper and light shelf wear. A very good copy.

It states: 'To Miss U (or V) Robertson In Rememberance of a pleasant visit to Lawhope from a sincere friend Frederick Samuel August 1876'. Some light spotting to the endpapers including the title page. A crease across the upper corner of the rear endpaper. Some splitting to the rear inner hinge revealing some webbing, though the rear board remains firmly attached. The four board corners a little turned in. A very good, clean, tight well preserved copy.
