An ex Public Library copy of this treatise on the five senses and the association of ideas in the arts. Very good in modern blue library cloth binding with gilt titles to spine and reference library stamp to ffep. Library blind stamp to corner of the first and last four pages with neat accession stamp to rear of title. Printed in a numbered limited edition of 6000 and with a very good black cloth clam box which has a few minor scuff marks on rear of box together with a 1cm closed split (see photos). Text in Italian and English.

A description of the life and work of these famous artists published as a single volume by the Art Journal in 1887. Very good in decorative pink cloth which is a trifle soiled, A.E.G., with decorative endpapers. Illustrated within the text and with etchings.

London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1913. Numbered, limited edition . Vellum. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Walter Tyndale. The de-luxe edition of 250 copies, this number 27, signed by the artist and bound in full vellum with gilt decorations. T.E.G. Internally sound and in very good condition with tipped in coloured plates and foxing to illustrated endpapers. Vellum is soiled, however, and lacking the ribbon ties (see photos).

A collection of the paintings of this highly regarded artist focused on his city of residence, Bath, Somerset. Principally Bath street scenes in colour with a few monochrome charcoal sketches. All paintings described by the artist with his comments alongside. A fine copy in brown cloth with gilt titles and a very good illustrated dustwrapper. Inscribed and signed, on the ffep, by the artist to the purchaser of one of his paintings.

This is the extensively illustrated catalogue of castings by Walter Macfarlane & Co., consisting of sections xxv-xxvii of the company's catalogue and covering: electric light pillars, brackets, etc. for arc lighting; electric light pillars, brackets, etc. for incandescent lighting; ventilation lamp pillars, columns and pipes. A folio volume with a wealth of architectural drawings of street furniture associated with lighting and ventilation with some street scenes illustrating the applications of this company's products. Collated complete in original green cloth with minor wear to extremities and gilt title to top board. Shaken with minor wear to hinges of spine (see photos). Undated but title has a company stamp, dated 25 July 1912, and a previous owner's name. This is number 23 of 75 copies of the text with original relief etchings designed and printed by Birgit Skiold. Divided into 7 separate poems each with an accompanying impressed image some of which are coloured. Internally fine with prospectus loosely inserted. The whole enclosed in an orange coloured cloth folio and contained within a pink slipcase. This is the Christmas 1929 portfolio of four illustrations by Edmund Dulac illustrating poems by Edgar Allan Poe. The printed card wraps, with an illustration tipped in on top wrap, are in good condition exhibiting foxing with some repaired minor closed tears. The four plates, each 14 X 19cm, and in fine condition, are tipped in on bifolio sheets 21 X 33cm preceded by the text of four poems: The Bells (with headpiece); Eldorado; Sonnet - Silence and Fairy-Land. The text pages are very good but with some darkening to the margins .

An, uncommon, humorous selection of comments on the subject of Cornwall with tipped in photographs and jokes. Self published and numbered in a limited edition of 250 copies with the number139 inserted by hand. Very good in stiff card which has minor scuffing to base of rear cover and faint water stain to base of top cover (see photos).

London: The Studio, 1902. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Corot Millet. The work of these two artists with reproductions and accompanying brief essays. Presentation inscription on ffep from a member of the Newlyn school of artists - Elizabeth Adela Forbes. She was Canadian and the wife of Stanhope Forbes with whom she set up the Forbes school of painting in Newlyn in 1899. The inscription reads "Lionel Birch with Xmas Greetings from EAF". Lionel Birch was an artist who was working in the area at that time. Very good half bound in slightly soiled vellum binding.

A fine copy of a booklet listing all the portraits and busts belonging to the Bath Corporation in 1907. Containing an appendix describing the Corporation Plate by Fred. D. Wardle, Town Clerk. Illustrated with 10 plates and containing 7 advertisements for Bath traders of the time. An unusually fine copy of an uncommon item.

A very good copy of this slim booklet on the great 15th century painter and engraver. Three vignettes and 1 full page engraving. Half bound by E. Rousselle in red leather with decorated boards. Shelf label at base of spine. T.E.G. with gilt titles on spine. Marbelled endpapers. Inscribed by author on title page. Printed top wrap bound in. Silk marker. Minor scuffing to boards (see photos).

A record of the proceedings in Westminster Hall Tuesday, November 30, 1954 when men and women representing all sides of British political life gathered to witness the presentation of gifts from both houses of parliament to Sir Winston Churchill on his eightieth birthday. A souvenir booklet published by the Times and containing speeches by, among others, Clement Attlee and with a picture of Churchill receiving gifts with the notorious Sutherland portrait behind him - a gift that was subsequently deliberately destroyed. Good condition in original paper wraps, stitched and with marks and fading to wraps.Uncommon A record of the proceedings when men and women, representing all sides of British political life, gathered to witness the presentation of gifts from both houses of parliament to Sir Winston Churchill on his 80th birthday.

Published in parts in Paris between 1831-1832 this four volume set describes the English School of Art and consists of titles and 288 steel engraved plates each accompanied by descriptive texts in English and French. A very good set half bound in green leather with marbelled boards and endpapers and spines marked inplaces (see photos). Each volume has a modern ex libris plate attached to its ffep. All volumes t.e.g. with some minor foxing throughout. A difficult set to find.

A folio containing examples of the work of the artist Henry Liverseege. Containing 35 of the 37 plates called for. This copy is lacking Captain Macheath and My Ladys Page both of which appear never to have been bound in despite the binding title calling for 37 plates. Generally very good half bound in marked and scuffed contemporary boards with marbelled endpapers. Some foxing in places. A.E.G. All plates protected by blank interleaving.
