Text is a little toned. Pages xvii/xviii and xix/xx have large chips torn from the bottom corner. The first leaf is mostly blank, so no text is affected. The tear on the second leaf is mostly in the margin and affects a couple of words of text on the last lines.

Contains two volumes bound together as one book. A nice copy. Text is in German.

The binding shows some wear, and the spine ends are fraying. The inner hinges have the publisher's reinforced cloth inner hinges, and yet the volume is shaken. A heavy volume weighing about 8 pounds. The text is toned but generally clean. Illustrated. Text is in old Gothic-style German.
