Contemporary numerical notations in the margins of the pages. Sabin points out at the beginning of this work that he has had the privilege of compiling many catalogues, but he has not up until this point "had the pleasure of preparing a catalogue in which almost every book possesses special importance..." He then highlights some of the finest examples in Menzies's collection listed in the catalogue including, Early Printed Books containing some fine specimens by the inventors of Printing, specimens of American Typography (some of the rarest in this catalogue), 50 titles of books printed by William Bradford, the first printer in the middle colonies, and at least twenty titles printed by Benjamin Franklin.

The author writes: "Dear Sir, "Complying with your request as regards attempted Bank Burglaries in this Territory. The last one occurred about one month ago. At Tremonton the "State Bank of Tremonton" This is a small town 25 miles north of Ogden. The bank had just located a new building and was ready to move in. They were using an old plate safe. But we sold them a new Manganese. The new safe was in the vault of the new bank, while the old safe remained in the old building and vault. The bank had acknowledged they would move on Monday. Salt Lake City, UT: Charles Ellis Johnson, 1915. Ephemera. Near Fine. 9 cm x 14 cm. Charles Ellis Johnson was an active and prolific photographer for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He owned his own photography studio (Sainsbury & Johnson, located at the corner of Main and South Temple streets) and took many photographs documenting the activities of the LDS Church throughout the late-1800s and early-1900s. In addition, Johnson produced many photographs for the Salt Lake City Theater, and even created risqué and artistic nude photos — quite uncommon for a man of his social standing in his time and place.
